Each year in August we hold a two day Open Weekend, which features access to areas of the museum normally closed to visitors as well as the opportunity to travel on a wide variety of vehicles. 

 

A free bus service operates from Carnegie Drive, Dunfermline, just behind Kingsgate Shopping Centre to the museum on both days of the event, every 15 minutes from 10am,

There will also be a free bus service from Halbeath Park&Ride, departing at 10.30am, and hourly thereafter.

There will also be a free bus service to provide transport around the site.
